Love Lives On Appeal News

Bentham’s Big Bike Ride

BBC Hereford & Worcester's Howard Bentham at Breakfast will be taking to the road for a week, cycling nearly 300 miles to raise money for the Noah's Ark Trust 'Love Lives On' appeal.

The challenge begins on Monday, 23 August, and continues until Friday 27. You are encouraged to join Howard along the way, on your bike, or to cheer him on his challenge.

Donations can be pledged on the Bentham's Bike Challenge Virgin Money Giving website.

Each morning, Howard will broadcast his breakfast show from somewhere along the route, before setting off on that day's bike ride. The daily cycling route will cover between 50 - 60 miles most days, taking in as many cities, towns and villages as possible around Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Orange Friday

Join Noah's Ark Trust in celebrating ORANGE FRIDAY - kids supporting kids.

To have fun, help support bereaved children and their families and give your school a chance of winning a prestigious ORANGE FRIDAY certificate.

Schools and businesses across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will be turning orange!

Your involvement could be as simple as each student paying £1 to wear something orange, or it could be something more imaginative.

Here are a few ideas from The Noah's Ark Trust of fun things you could do to raise money: Bake a cake, use lots of orange food coloring and sell slices or Open an ORANGE FRIDAY Art Gallery and sell orange works of art!

If you would like to register to take part please contact either our Hereford office on 01432 264555 or our Worcester office on 01905 340019.

Car Boot Appeal

If you, or anyone you know, is involved in organizing a car boot sale, then we'd like you to get in touch.

For one week only, we'd like you to raise your pitch rate by an extra pound… and then pass your extra cash onto our Love Lives On appeal.

To get involved, email your details to hwguide@bbc.co.uk putting "Car Boot" in the subject line, and telling us your name, the name of the event and where it's being held, and your telephone number.

Alternatively you can leave a message by ringing 0845 300 5006.

We'll get in touch, to help you raise the cash and to publicize your event.
