The Love Lives On Campaign is in partnership with BBC Hereford & Worcester.
On the 14th February 1989, something new hit the airwaves in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. BBC Hereford & Worcester has been a favourite on the radio dial ever since. To celebrate the 21st anniversary of broadcasting, the station has adopted Noah’s Ark Trust to support for their special celebration year.
Managing Editor James Coghill says: “We wanted to do something extra special to celebrate and invited charities to bid to be our partner for a year.
“Noah’s Ark Trust is a local charity helping local families in a remarkable way and we are extremely impressed with the work they do. We want to help them raise money to continue providing activity weekends away and to make over a family room at their office."
As well as the fundraising, the station will also be broadcasting some of the moving testimonies from families who have benefitted from Noah’s Ark trust as well as the bereavement counsellors and other experts who offer help. It costs around £200 for a child to take part in an activity weekend and the station’s target is £30 000. Station favourite Dave “Bradders” Bradley has even offered to lose weight in order to help raise money for Noah’s Ark
